De Kroon and Prins Take Surprise Title at Dutch Padel Championships – Koek and Weterings Regain the Crown

Youp de Kroon and Julian Prins are the new Dutch padel champions in the men’s category. In a thrilling final, they defeated Bram Meijer and Sten Richters. De Kroon and Prins started strong with a 6-3 win in the first set, but lost the second set in a tense tiebreak: 6-7. The match was ultimately decided in a surprisingly quick third set. De Kroon and Prins stepped up their game and dominated with a convincing 6-1 to seal the title. An impressive finish to a high-intensity battle.

In the women’s final, Marcella Koek and Steffie Weterings reclaimed their national title. They faced Liza Groenveld and Bo Luttikhuis, the second seeds of the tournament. Koek and Weterings took the first set convincingly (6-2), but dropped the second set 3-6. In the deciding set, they regained control and closed out the match 6-3. The win confirms their position at the top of Dutch women’s padel.
