KNLTB receives over 1.7 million euros from the Dutch Lottery for tennis and padel
In 2024, the Dutch Lottery distributed a record amount of €203,575,688 to society. Of the total sum, €54.6 million goes to NOC*NSF and the sports federations. This helps to ensure lower membership fees, well-organized competitions, and room for innovation in sports, such as digitalization and social initiatives. Paralympic sports and talent development in elite sports also benefit from this contribution.
The funding enables the KNLTB to continue both elite sports programs and grassroots initiatives. Among other things, it allows investment in supporting the more than 1,600 tennis and padel providers in the Netherlands. This support focuses on strengthening clubs—both in governance and in technical sports development—and on creating suitable sports offerings for every age group. Thanks to the ongoing contribution from the Dutch Lottery, the KNLTB can continue to fulfill its mission: getting more people to play tennis and padel.
