Moreira de Melo and Van der Vaart bring world-class padel to Ahoy: second edition of Premier Padel.

Rotterdam Ahoy will once again be the stage for the Decathlon Premier Padel, taking place from September 28 to October 5. The event, which attracted 36,000 visitors last year, will once again bring the absolute world elite of the fastest-growing sport in the Netherlands to the port city.

Tournament directors Fatima Moreira de Melo and Rafael van der Vaart are excited about the second edition. "It's fantastic that the world’s best are coming back to Rotterdam," says former hockey star Fatima Moreira de Melo. "I'm proud of last year’s success and look forward to a week in Ahoy, right in the heart of my hometown."

Last year, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia took the men’s title, while Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez won the women’s tournament. According to former football star Van der Vaart, the players feel at home in Rotterdam. "They love coming back. And they will — the world’s top players are confirmed. What’s great is that visitors will also get to experience a lot themselves at Ahoy."

Presale for the popular indoor sports event has already begun. Fans can look forward to a week full of top-level matches and a unique atmosphere.
