First edition of Padelgids.nl Magazine officially launched
The magazine is distributed to all padel locations in the Netherlands, where it is available on reading tables in clubs and sports centers. Additionally, more than 10,000 newsletter subscribers and over 4,500 members of the official Padel WhatsApp groups of Padelgids.nl receive the magazine digitally for free.
The first edition was officially presented to the Netherlands' number one padel player, Sten Richters, in Amsterdam on May 25.
Padel is growing at a rapid pace in the Netherlands and now has nearly 900,000 active players. With the magazine, Padelgids.nl aims not only to follow the sport but, above all, to make the people, stories, and innovations behind the sport visible. Two more new editions will be published later this year: at the end of August and at the end of November.
Cover story: Sten Richters
The cover story of the first edition revolves around Sten Richters, currently the number one in the Netherlands. In an extensive interview, he talks about his first introduction to padel during his student days, his development into a professional player, and his ambition to reach the world elite. He also shares his vision on the explosive growth of padel in the Netherlands.
Pioneers, innovation, and entrepreneurship
In addition to elite sport, the magazine devotes considerable attention to the entrepreneurs, pioneers, and brands that contribute to the development of the sport. For instance, Eric de Lange discusses his role as a pioneer within the Dutch padel world and his vision on club development and association life.
Marketing and innovation also receive ample attention. Gelmer Jan Haanstra explains how EasyToys has become visible within the padel world through striking campaigns and activations, including the famous pink padel court in Amsterdam. With this magazine, Padelgids.nl expects to secure a permanent place within the Dutch padel sport and aims to continue growing in the coming years as an independent platform for news, interviews, events, and developments within the sport.
