The second edition of Padelgids.nl Magazine has been published. Following the launch of its first edition, Padelgids.nl continues to build an independent quarterly magazine for the entire Dutch padel community. Once again, Edition 2 is packed with interviews, personal stories, professional sport, entrepreneurship and developments within a sport that continues to grow in the Netherlands.

Padel Copa, together with Padel2day, is launching a nationwide search for the best amateur padel players in the Netherlands. Through qualifying events at 12 local clubs, players have the chance to qualify for the national final at the Padel Copa Stadium in Utrecht.

WESTERBORK - World-class international padel in the heart of Drenthe. From Thursday, August 27 to Sunday, August 30, Racketclub Westerbork is hosting not one, but two international tournaments on the CUPRA FIP Tour: the Univé FIP Silver for women and the Univé FIP Bronze for men. Featuring players from twenty-two countries and four continents, this is the largest international padel tournament in the North of the Netherlands.

Tennis club Zer Oirts from Serooskerke on Walcheren has started construction of a brand-new tennis and padel park. Work is now well underway, with completion scheduled for early 2027. The new facility will provide the club with a modern and future-proof sports venue for both tennis and padel enthusiasts. Three Dutch pairs have received wildcards for the main draw of CUPRA Rotterdam Premier Padel 2026. In the men’s draw, Youp de Kroon & Julian Prins and Sten Richters & Albin Olsson have been granted direct entry. In the women’s draw, Marcella Koek & Steffie Weterings have received a wildcard.

The Dutch padel elite will be in action in Alblasserdam later this month. From August 22 to 30, Sportpark Souburgh will host the Maat eMobility Open, organized by the Alblasserdam Tennis and Padel Association (ATV).

Eight dedicated padel players have taken on an extraordinary challenge during the Week der Besten in Vlagtwedde: playing padel continuously for 40 hours. The record attempt began at midnight on Monday at the new Pista Padel courts at Sportsbar De Dribbel.

Following a highly successful first edition, the international padel tournament at RC Westerbork is set to return to the Dutch province of Drenthe. From Wednesday, August 26 through Sunday, August 30, 2026, Westerbork will once again host an official international FIP tournament. After last year's overwhelming success, the organizers are looking forward to an even stronger second edition.

The Netherlands will be the host country for the FIP Euro Padel Cup 2027. The KNLTB and Athvance Sports (formerly Sportworx) are jointly organizing this European Championship, following the International Padel Federation (FIP) awarding the tournament to the Netherlands. With host cities throughout the country and a final week in the summer, the European Championship promises to be a major sporting event and a significant milestone in the development of padel, which is rapidly evolving into one of Europe's largest and most dynamic sports.

Starting this summer, every player in the Netherlands – member or not – will receive a personal KNLTB ID with a single official rating. With this, the KNLTB aims to put an end to the fragmentation of the many different apps, ratings, and booking systems for padel and other racket sports.

On Friday afternoon, the RC de Weide sports park was entirely dedicated to Padel with the Rebels. The event, organized by Centrista Sportmarketing in collaboration with FC de Rebellen, attracted many participants and visitors to Hoogeveen.
