Growth in Tennis and Padel within the KNLTB in 2024: A Successful Strategy
The number of members at KNLTB clubs increased to 656,000 in 2024, a 2% rise. Many clubs offer combined memberships, making it challenging to distinguish between tennis and padel players. However, padel’s popularity continues to grow, while tennis maintains a stable position. Offering both sports within clubs significantly boosts growth for both disciplines. Clubs that provide tennis and padel experience faster growth compared to those focusing solely on tennis.

Additionally, there has been a 60% increase in flexible players booking courts or activities through Meet & Play providers, rising from 118,000 to 188,000. This highlights the growing demand for tennis and especially padel without requiring fixed memberships. The number of Tournament Passes also grew from 7,200 to 11,100, allowing non-members to participate in official KNLTB tournaments. Pickleball and beach tennis players are also part of the KNLTB community.
