KNLTB launches one universal rating and central platform for all players

Starting this summer, every player in the Netherlands – member or not – will receive a personal KNLTB ID with a single official rating. With this, the KNLTB aims to put an end to the fragmentation of the many different apps, ratings, and booking systems for padel and other racket sports.

What does this mean for you as a player?

  • Everything in one place: Via the overarching Meet & Play platform, you will soon be able to book courts, find lessons, and arrange matches at all affiliated locations.
  • Open Matches count: A major change is that single matches (Open Matches) will also count towards your official KNLTB rating. This provides a fairer picture of your level and ensures more evenly matched opponents.
  • No membership required: The system is accessible to everyone, so you do not need to be affiliated with a specific club.

What does this mean for padel centers?

Operationally, little changes for clubs and padel centers: they retain their own systems and remain in control. However, they can link their systems to the national platform. This increases their visibility among a much broader group of players, which should lead to higher court occupancy.
