How Does the Dutch Padel Ranking Work?
The Dutch padel ranking shows an overview of the best players in the Netherlands. Players collect points by participating in official KNLTB tournaments and international FIP tournaments. But keep in mind: your position on the ranking is not determined by your total number of points alone.
National Points: How Does It Work?
In the Netherlands, there are different ranking tournaments, such as the Master, 1000, 750, 500, and 250. The higher the tournament level and the further you get, the more points you earn. For example, winning a Master tournament gives you 1000 points, while a 250 tournament earns you 250 points. The exact distribution can be found in the official points table.
International Bonus Points
In addition to national tournaments, you can earn points by playing international FIP tournaments, such as FIP Rise, FIP Star, and FIP Platinum. These tournaments provide bonus points for the Dutch ranking. The higher the FIP level, the more points you can earn. See the overview page for the full breakdown of FIP bonus points.
Important: FIP Ranking Comes First
Your position on the Dutch ranking is first determined by your position on the FIP World Ranking. Only after that will the total points from national and international tournaments be considered.
Concretely, this means:
-
For men, the top 200 of the FIP ranking are listed first, in FIP order.
-
For women, this applies to the top 100 of the FIP ranking.
After that, the rest of the players are sorted by total points. As a result, it’s possible that a player with more points is ranked lower than someone with a higher FIP ranking. The FIP ranking takes priority for the top positions.
Why Does This Matter?
The ranking is important for tournament placement, direct access to main draws, and even national team selection. So it’s not just an honor to be ranked high — it also provides real advantages when competing at the highest level.
